Abacus started with a simple frustration: tracking money either meant a spreadsheet you abandon in February, or an app that sells your attention. We wanted neither.
The boring part is the problem
Everyone knows the advice: track your spending, set a budget, check in weekly. Nobody fails because the advice is wrong — they fail because the bookkeeping is tedious. Receipts pile up, categories drift, and by week three the app is a graveyard.
So we built the tracker where AI absorbs the tedium: snap a receipt, import a statement, and clean, categorized transactions appear as drafts for you to confirm. The clarity stays; the chore goes.
